Hadis Vahidi is an Iranian-Canadian painter and sculptor whose work pulses with ever-morphing lifeforms, dissolving the rigid structures of form, beauty, and representation. Rooted in oil on canvas and mixed-media sculpture, her practice is a restless exploration of the body, movement, and transformation—where texture, breath, and sensation converge.
Her figures emerge like sentient vessels, protectors of something unspoken. They do not represent; they become. Vahidi’s world resists metaphor and embraces raw presence. Her paintings breathe with layered intensity, while her sculptures push beyond the canvas, expanding into space with the force of something breaking free. These works carry a spiritual architecture—deliberate, tactile, deeply human.
In an age of spectacle, Vahidi’s work invites intimacy. It asks the viewer not to interpret, but to feel—to recognize power in the soft, the fractured, the held.
