Hadis Vahidi is an Iranian-Canadian painter and sculptor whose work pulses with ever-morphing lifeforms, dissolving the rigid structures of form, beauty, and representation. Rooted in oil on canvas and mixed-media sculpture, her practice is a restless exploration of the body, movement, and transformation.

Vahidi’s work resists metaphor and symbolism, engaging the senses at a primal level. Her paintings vibrate with layered textures and visceral gestures, while her sculptures push beyond the canvas, expanding into physical space as if they are breaking free from the two-dimensional plane. In her world, the boundaries between ‘the beautiful’ and ‘the grotesque’ collapse, revealing something raw, untamed, and deeply human.
